Conference Overview
Eminent College of Pharmaceutical Technology organized the 2nd International Conference on Innovations in Sustainable Drug Discovery and Development to Combat the Crisis of Antimicrobial Resistance on 27–28 February 2025 in association with Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata and Bioequivalence Study Centre, Jadavpur University, Kolkata. The conference was sponsored by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).
The conference was convened by Dr. Kaushik Biswas, Professor and Vice-Principal, ECPT, with Dr. Subhasis Banerjee as Joint Convener and Dr. Anurup Mandal as Joint Organizing Secretary. The inaugural ceremony included dignitary addresses, plantation ceremony, and cultural performances by students.
The event featured multiple scientific sessions delivered by eminent researchers from India and abroad. Topics covered innovative antimicrobial strategies, nanotechnology-based therapeutics, natural compounds, hospital infection management, and drug resistance mechanisms.
The second day included poster presentations, oral and e-oral presentations, and discussions aligned with the theme of National Science Day. Participants from several institutions across India presented their research findings, contributing to knowledge exchange and collaborative discussions.
The conference concluded with prize distribution for oral and poster presentations and a valedictory session followed by a vote of thanks by Dr. Kaushik Biswas.
